The biscuits melt in your mouth

Instructions

  1. Cream the Butter
    • In a mixing bowl, beat the soft butter, icing sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until light, smooth, and creamy.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients
    • Add the egg and continue mixing until fully combined.
    • Pour in the sunflower oil and mix again.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.
    • Add this gradually into the butter mixture.
    • Mix until a soft, smooth dough forms.
    • If too sticky, add 1–2 tablespoons of extra flour.
  4. Shape the Biscuits
    • Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
    • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
    • Roll small portions of dough between your palms to form balls.
    • Place them on the tray and gently press each one with a fork to create a pattern.
  5. Bake
    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
    • Do NOT overbake — this keeps them soft and melt-in-the-mouth.
  6. Cool and Serve
    • Allow biscuits to cool completely on a rack.
    • Dust with extra icing sugar if desired.
