Dinner just got easier (and tastier!) This one-pan wonder is perfect for a weeknight meal, and it’s gentle on the joints – no complicated chopping or multiple dishes!
Serves: 2
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch strips
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Sizzle the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak strips and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Broccoli Blitz: Add broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
- Garlic & Lemon Magic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant. Add lemon zest and juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Combine & Serve: Return the steak to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine the flavors. Cook for another minute or two, just to heat the steak through.
- Enjoy! Serve immediately. This dish is delicious on its own or with a side of mashed potatoes or a simple salad.
