Turkish bread recipe

Ingredients (6–8 breads)
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water (add gradually)
4–6 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
Extra flour for dusting

1️⃣ Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour + salt.
Gradually add warm water and knead until a soft, smooth dough forms.
Knead 8–10 minutes.
Cover and rest 30 minutes (very important).
2️⃣ Divide & Roll
Divide dough into 6–8 balls.
Dust lightly with flour.
Roll one ball very thin (almost transparent).
3️⃣ Layer with Butter
Brush the surface generously with melted butter or oil.
Fold:
Fold left β†’ right
Fold top β†’ bottom
(like an envelope)
Lightly flatten.
Repeat for all dough pieces.
Rest again 10 minutes.
4️⃣ Cook
Heat a dry pan or tava over medium heat.
Roll one folded dough gently (don’t make it too thin).
Cook until golden spots appear, about 1–2 min per side.
Brush lightly with butter while hot.
