Ingredients:
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons white vinegar
Water
Instructions:
Prepare the Water:
Fill a medium-sized saucepan with about 3 inches of water. Add the vinegar and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Create a Whirlpool:
Use a spoon to stir the water in one direction to create a whirlpool.
Poach the Eggs:
Crack an egg into a small bowl or ramekin. Gently slide the egg into the center of the whirlpool. Repeat for additional eggs, one at a time, ensuring they don’t crowd.
Cook:
Let the egg cook for 3-4 minutes for a soft yolk or 5-6 minutes for a firmer yolk.
Remove and Serve:
Use a slotted spoon to lift the egg out of the water. Dab gently with a paper towel to remove excess water. Serve immediately.
