Ingredients:
4 white fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
2 eggs, beaten
Salt & black pepper to taste
½ tsp paprika (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying
4 large potatoes, cut into fries
Fresh parsley & lemon wedges (for garnish)
For Tartar Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp pickles or relish, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prep Fries:
Soak potato fries in cold water for 30 min, then pat dry.
Fry in hot oil (350°F / 175°C) until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Bread the Fish:
Season fish fillets with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dredge each fillet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Fry Fish:
Heat oil in a deep skillet. Fry fish until golden brown (about 3–4 min per side).
Drain on paper towels.
- Make Tartar Sauce:
Mix mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, and mustard. Adjust seasoning.
- Serve:
Plate fish with fries, a side salad, lemon wedges, and tartar sauce.
