Ribeye Steak with French Onions and French Fries

Ingredients:

2 ribeye steaks
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp thyme (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
4 large potatoes (for fries)
2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying or baking)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (for fries)
Instructions:

For French Onions: Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, sugar, and thyme, then sauté until caramelized (about 15-20 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
For French Fries: Cut potatoes into fries, then coat them with vegetable oil and garlic powder. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or fry until crispy and golden.
For Ribeye: Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear them in a hot pan over high heat for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the steaks topped with caramelized onions, alongside crispy fries.
Notes:

For added flavor, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan on the fries before serving.
Let the steak rest after cooking for juicier results.
